It bestrides the fence between these two genres with unusual grace, and while being a hardcore strategy game at heart, manages to layer in more traditional role playing elements than many action rpgs. Characters, objects and scenarios are depicted with a high degree of realism, great light effects and very vivid colors, creating an immersive atmosphere that makes the whole adventure even more enjoyable. King’s Bounty is a game distinguished by balance, and layers that build on each other in perfect equilibrium. While this kind of battles may be a bit boring for those of us used to real-time action, there's one thing King's Bounty stands for: its graphics. You're free to explore the game's universe at your own pace, but as soon as you engage in a battle, the game will change to a turn-based structure in which you need to plan your next movement very carefully if you want to defeat the enemy. The gameplay in King's Bounty slowly unveils a main plot while presenting the player with various quests, puzzles and mysteries. You're then introduced to a bit of historical background, but you can skip that if you can't wait to start questing. The short version is: they're almost all Physical. A complete listing of the Initiative+Speed tier of every unit (Though I leave out Level, and that factors into turn order too), plus a visual representation of how units are distributed as far as damage type access goes. I don't go into detail about children there's other sites if you want to mess with that largely-useless part of the system. It's a sort of sequel-remake to the 1990 wandering role-player that. Also covers the Paladin class in particular. Because through cunning misdirection, I've disguised the fact I'm discussing King's Bounty: The Legend instead. Also covers the Warrior class in particular. There may be discrepancies between these posts and your experience as a result, if you're playing a different version I know for a fact the GOG release has some (fairly serious) bugs exclusive to it, so this is a very real concern. The IGN review of Kings Bounty: The Legend praised the combat system, noting its depth and the need for players to stay alert. A disclaimer I play with the Good Old Games release, not the original Steam release.
