7/31/2023 0 Comments Satisfactory update 4![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dedicated servers will be its own thing and will be released independently from Update 4 so as soon as we're ready, we're going to the possibility to host dedicated servers available. We've decided to put more of a priority on dedicated servers but we don't have a good ETA for them yet. We've been working on dedicated server for ages it feels like, and while the steam release took a lot of focus away from dedicated servers, some work that went into cross-play and the steam release also benefited dedicated servers. What's the situation with Dedicated Servers? We'll be revealing more information as to what's coming when as we get closer to the completion of these updates! However, between then and now we're going to be rolling out a few patches and a minor update to the game expected in early November. We're expecting the next coming update to be available sometime early 2021. There are still a lot of things we want to fix and implement before the game reaches 1.0 so you can expect more updates to the game before then. We're currently hard at work getting all that new sweet content into the next coming Updates. Provided that there is nothing obstructing the player while ziplining, this should ensure that players can easily travel from point A to point B without any difficulty.Just wanted to give a quick update on the happenings right now! Meaning that any power pole in the system only has two power line connections at most. With all of that in mind, the zipline tool is best used on “minimalist” power line systems. But generally speaking, if the incline of the power cable does not exceed 80 degrees (i.e. almost straight up) the zipline tool should not have too much trouble taking the player upward. Jumping toward the power line before using the tool in midair tends to bypass both of these issues, but it sometimes doesn’t work depending on just how steep the incline of travel is. Other times the zipline tool will connect to the proper power line, but the player will find themselves continuously hitting the power pole since the game considers it an obstructing object. Because more often than not, the zipline tool will try to attach itself to another power line entirely instead of attaching to the player’s desired powerline. One of the biggest factors is whether or not the power pole it is connected to is holding multiple power lines. But it can be a bit quirky sometimes depending on a variety of factors. But what about traveling to a higher point of elevation? Unlike regular ziplines that have to rely on gravity, Satisfactory’s zipline presumably uses a combination of magnetism and electricity to propel its players. So traveling upwards should be possible. Traveling to a lower point of elevation is easy enough provided that there is nothing obstructing the player’s travel path. While on the power line, players cannot reverse direction or control the speed of their character. The tool only remains in use when activated, so releasing the mouse button at any point will result in the player being dropped from the power line. But don’t let go of the mouse button mid-transit. Although it may need some tweaking later if players want to optimize this form of travel.īut to use the actual zipline tool, players need to approach a power line and simply press the left mouse button. In a way, players have probably already built their own zipline system. Cables that, if the player has advanced this far in the game, are already strewn all throughout the factory and possibly even the entire region. Instead, it uses caterium wire to essentially magnetize itself to power cables. It doesn’t use rope or a metal claw to hang onto things. When the zipline tool is obtained, players will quickly note that it looks different from what they were probably expecting. ![]()
